حَدَّثَنَا إِسْحَاقُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ الطَّبَّاعِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَرِيرٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ حَازِمٍ عَنْ وَاصِلٍ الْأَحْدَبِ عَنْ أَبِي وَائِلٍ عَنْ شُرَيْحٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَجُلً
ا مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ اللَّهُ تَعَالَى يَا ابْنَ آدَمَ قُمْ إِلَيَّ أَمْشِ إِلَيْكَ وَامْشِ إِلَيَّ أُهَرْوِلْ إِلَيْكَ

English Translation
Isḥāq ibn ʿĪsā ibn al-Ṭabbāʿ narrated to us, he said: Jarīr — meaning Ibn Ḥāzim — narrated to us, from Wāṣil al-Aḥdab, from Abū Wāʾil, from Shurayḥ, who said: I heard a man from the Companions of the Prophet ﷺ say: the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Allāh عز وجل said: O son of Ādam, stand up and walk to Me and I will hasten to you. O son of Ādam, ask Me and I shall give you.'
