Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ زُرْعَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ جَرْهَدٍ عَنْ جَرْهَدٍ جَدِّهِ وَنَفَرٍ مِنْ أَسْلَمَ سِوَاهُ
ذَوِي رِضًا أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَرَّ عَلَى جَرْهَدٍ وَفَخِذُ جَرْهَدٍ مَكْشُوفَةٌ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ لَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا جَرْهَدُ غَطِّ فَخِذَكَ فَإِنَّ يَا جَرْهَدُ الْفَخِذَ عَوْرَةٌ

English Translation
Ḥusayn ibn Muḥammad narrated to us, he said: Ibn Abī al-Zinād narrated to us, from his father, from Zurʿah ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Jarhad, from his grandfather Jarhad and others from Aslam of good standing, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ passed by Jarhad in the mosque while his thigh was exposed. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'The thigh is ʿawrah.'
