Afterward, a woman came to him and said: 'I present myself to you.' He said: 'What need does a woman have who presents herself? She has no need.' Then a man stood and said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, marry her to me.' He said: 'What do you have?' He said: 'Nothing.' He said: 'Not even an iron ring?' He said: 'Not even an iron ring.' He said: 'Do you know anything from the Quran?' He said: 'I know such-and-such sūrahs.' He said: 'I marry her to you for what you know of the Quran.'
