حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ حَدَّثَنَا كَهْمَسٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي سَيَّارُ بْنُ مَنْظُورٍ الْفَزَارِيُّ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ بُهَيْسَةَ قَالَتِ اسْتَأْذَنَ أَبِي النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَجَعَلَ يَدْنُو مِنْهُ وَيَلْتَزِمُهُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا الشَّيْءُ الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ قَالَ الْمَاءُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا الشَّيْءُ الّ
َذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ قَالَ الْمِلْحُ ثُمَّ قَالَ يَا نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ مَا الشَّيْءُ الَّذِي لَا يَحِلُّ مَنْعُهُ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ إِنْ تَفْعَلْ الْخَيْرَ خَيْرٌ لَكَ قَالَ فَانْتَهَى قَوْلُهُ إِلَى الْمَاءِ وَالْمِلْحِ قَالَ وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ الرَّجُلُ لَا يَمْنَعُ شَيْئًا وَإِنْ قَلَّ

English Translation
Yazīd narrated to us, Kahmas narrated to us, he said: Sayyār ibn Manẓūr al-Fazārī narrated to me, from his father, from Buhaysah, who said: My father sought permission from the Prophet ﷺ. He began drawing close to him and embracing him. Then he said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, what is the thing that no one may refuse?' He said: 'Water.' He said: 'O Prophet of Allāh, what is the thing that no one may refuse?' He said: 'Salt.' He said: 'O Prophet of Allāh, what is the thing that no one may refuse?' He said: 'To do good is better for you.'
