قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ وَسَمِعْتُهُ أَنَا مِنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ شَيْبَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحِيمِ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ الْحَارِثِ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ غَسَّانَ التَّيْمِيِّ عَنِ ابْنِ الرَّسِيمِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أ
َنَّهُ قَالَ وَفَدْنَا عَلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَنَهَانَا عَنْ الظُّرُوفِ قَالَ ثُمَّ قَدِمْنَا عَلَيْهِ فَقُلْنَا إِنَّ أَرْضَنَا أَرْضٌ وَخِمَةٌ قَالَ فَقَالَ اشْرَبُوا فِيمَا شِئْتُمْ مَنْ شَاءَ أَوْكَأَ سِقَاءَهُ عَلَى إِثْمٍ

English Translation
ʿAbdullāh narrated to us — and I heard it from ʿAbdullāh ibn Muḥammad ibn Shaybah — he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥīm ibn Sulaymān narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn al-Ḥārith al-Taymī, from Yaḥyā ibn Ghassān al-Taymī, from Ibn al-Rasīm, who said: A delegation of us came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ and stayed with him for twenty days. He was gentle and merciful with us. When he saw our longing for our families, he said: 'Return to your families, teach them and command them, and pray as you have seen me pray. When the time for prayer comes, let one of you give the call (adhān) and let the eldest among you lead.'
