Hadith #147

English Translation

ʿAbd al-Ṣamad ibn ʿAbd al-Wārith narrated to us, he said: my father narrated to me, he said: Layth narrated to us, from Ṭalḥah, from his father, from his grandfather, that he saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ wiping over his head (in wuḍūʾ) until he reached the back of his head (the qadhāl) and the area near the ears. He (the grandfather) was a boy serving the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ.
