English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Saʿīd narrated to us, from Hishām — meaning Ibn ʿUrwah — who said: my father informed me, from al-Aḥnaf ibn Qays, from an uncle of his called Jāriyah ibn Qudāmah, that a man said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, tell me something and make it brief so I may understand it.' He said: 'Do not get angry.' The man repeated the question several times, and each time the Prophet ﷺ said: 'Do not get angry.'
