قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا وُهَيْبٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ حَرْمَلَةَ عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ هِنْدِ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ وَكَانَ هِنْدٌ مِنْ أَصْحَابِ الْحُدَيْبِيَةِ وَأَخُوهُ الَّذِي بَعَثَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَأْمُرُ قَوْمَهُ بِصِيَامِ عَاشُورَاءَ وَهُوَ أَسْمَاءُ بْنُ حَار
ِثَةَ فَحَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ هِنْدٍ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بْنِ حَارِثَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعَثَهُ فَقَالَ مُرْ قَوْمَكَ بِصِيَامِ هَذَا الْيَوْمِ قَالَ أَرَأَيْتَ إِنْ وَجَدْتُهُمْ قَدْ طَعِمُوا قَالَ فَلْيُتِمُّوا آخِرَ يَوْمِهِمْ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, he said: Wuhayb narrated to us, ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn Ḥarmalah narrated to us, from Yaḥyā ibn Hind ibn Ḥārithah — and Hind was one of the Companions of Ḥudaybiyyah — and his brother was the one whom the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ sent to the people of Madīnah with news of the victory of Badr.
