قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَنَسُ بْنُ عِيَاضٍ أَبُو ضَمْرَةَ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي الضَّحَّاكُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ أَبِي النَّضْرِ مَوْلَى عُمَرَ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللَّهِ عَنْ

بُسْرِ بْنِ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُنَيْسٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ لَيْلَةَ الْقَدْرِ ثُمَّ أُنْسِيتُهَا وَأُرَانِي صَبِيحَتَهَا أَسْجُدُ فِي مَاءٍ وَطِينٍ فَمُطِرْنَا لَيْلَةَ ثَلَاثٍ وَعِشْرِينَ فَصَلَّى بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَانْصَرَفَ وَإِنَّ أَثَرَ الْمَاءِ وَالطِّينِ عَلَى جَبْهَتِهِ وَأَنْفِهِ

English Translation

Anas ibn ʿIyāḍ Abū Ḍamrah narrated to us: al-Ḍaḥḥāk ibn ʿUthmān narrated to me, from Abū al-Naḍr — the freed slave of ʿUmar ibn ʿUbaydullāh — from Busr ibn Saʿīd, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Unays, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'I was shown Laylat al-Qadr, then I was made to forget it. I was shown that on its morning I would prostrate in water and clay.'
