Chain of Narration (Isnad)

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ الزُّبَيْرِيُّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْغَسِيلِ عَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ أَبِي أُسَيْدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ وَعَبَّاسِ بْنِ سَهْلٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَا مَرَّ بِنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَأَصْحَابٌ لَهُ فَخَرَجْنَا مَعَهُ حَتَّى انْطَلَقْنَا إِلَى حَائِطٍ يُقَالُ لَهُ الشَّوْطُ حَتَّى انْتَهَيْنَا إِلَى حَائِطَيْنِ مِنْهُمَا فَجَلَسْنَا بَيْنَهُمَا فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ اجْلِسُوا وَدَخَلَ هُوَ وَقَدْ أُوتِيَ بِالْجَوْنِيَّةِ فِي بَيْتِ أُمَيْمَةَ بِنْتِ النُّعْمَانِ بْنِ شَرَاحِيلَ وَمَعَ

هَا دَايَةٌ لَهَا فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ هَبِي لِي نَفْسَكِ قَالَتْ وَهَلْ تَهَبُ الْمَلِكَةُ نَفْسَهَا لِلسُّوقَةِ قَالَتْ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِاللَّهِ مِنْكَ قَالَ لَقَدْ عُذْتِ بِمُعَاذٍ ثُمَّ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فَقَالَ يَا أَبَا أُسَيْدٍ اكْسُهَا رَازِقِيَّتَيْنِ وَأَلْحِقْهَا بِأَهْلِهَا قَالَ وَقَالَ غَيْرُ أَبِي أَحْمَدَ امْرَأَةٌ مِنْ بَنِي الْجَوْنِ يُقَالُ لَهَا أَمِينَةُ

English Translation

Muḥammad ibn ʿAbdullāh al-Zubayrī narrated to us: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn al-Ghasīl narrated to us, from Ḥamzah ibn Abī Usayd, from his father, and ʿAbbās ibn Sahl, from his father, who both said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ passed by us with some Companions, and we went out with him until we came to a garden called al-Shawṭ, then to two gardens where we sat between them. The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'Sit down.' He entered, and al-Jawniyyah had been brought to the house of Umaymah bint al-Nuʿmān ibn Sharāḥīl, with her nursemaid. When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ entered upon her, he said: 'Give yourself to me.' She said: 'Does a princess give herself to a commoner?' Then she said: 'I seek refuge in Allāh from you.' He said: 'You have sought refuge in One Who grants refuge.' Then he came out to us and said: 'O Abū Usayd, clothe her with two garments of Egyptian linen and return her to her family.' Others besides Abū Aḥmad said: A woman from Banū al-Jawn, called Amīnah.
