قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ حَبِيبُ بْنُ أَبِي ثَابِتٍ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ قَيْسِ بْنِ أَبِي غَرَزَةَ قَالَ خَ
رَجَ إِلَيْنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ وَنَحْنُ نَبِيعُ الرَّقِيقَ نُسَمَّى السَّمَاسِرَةَ فَقَالَ يَا مَعْشَرَ التُّجَّارِ إِنَّ بَيْعَكُمْ هَذَا يُخَالِطُهُ لَغْوٌ وَحَلِفٌ فَشُوبُوهُ بِصَدَقَةٍ أَوْ بِشَيْءٍ مِنْ صَدَقَةٍ

English Translation
Bahz narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, Ḥabīb ibn Abī Thābit informed me, he said: I heard Abū Wāʾil narrating from Qays ibn Abī Gharazah who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ came out to us while we were selling slaves and were called al-samāsirah. He said: 'O community of merchants, this selling of yours involves idle talk and swearing, so purify it with charity — or with something of charity.'
