قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزُ بْنُ أَسَدٍ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ أَخْبَرَنَا يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ أَوْسِ بْنِ أَبِي أَوْسٍ قَا
لَ رَأَيْتُ أَبِي يَوْمًا تَوَضَّأَ فَمَسَحَ النَّعْلَيْنِ فَقُلْتُ لَهُ أَتَمْسَحُ عَلَيْهِمَا فَقَالَ هَكَذَا رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَفْعَلُ

English Translation
Bahz ibn Asad narrated to us, Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, Yaʿlā ibn ʿAṭāʾ informed us, from Aws ibn Abī Aws who said: I saw my father one day perform wuḍūʾ and wipe over his sandals. I said to him: 'Do you wipe over them?' He said: 'This is how I saw the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ [do it].'
