English Translation

Yaḥyā ibn Ādam narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubārak narrated to us, from al-Awzāʿī, from Ḥassān ibn ʿAṭiyyah, from Abū al-Ashʿath al-Ṣanʿānī, from Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafī who said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: 'Whoever washes and bathes on the day of Jumuʿah, goes early and arrives early, walks and does not ride, draws near to the imam, listens, and does not engage in idle speech, he shall have for every step the deed of a year — the reward of its fasting and prayer.' Ibrāhīm ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, Ibn al-Mubārak narrated to us, from al-Awzāʿī, Ḥassān ibn ʿAṭiyyah narrated to us, Abū al-Ashʿath al-Ṣanʿānī narrated to me, Aws ibn Aws al-Thaqafī narrated to me, he said: I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ — and he mentioned the like of it, except that he said: 'then went early and arrived early.'
