English Translation
Ḥajjāj narrated to us, Sharīk narrated to us, from ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿĪsā, from Jumayʿ ibn ʿUmayr — without doubt — from his maternal uncle Abū Burdah ibn Niyār, who said: I went with the Prophet ﷺ to the Naqīʿ al-Muṣallā (prayer ground). He looked at the people and said: 'These people are doing well — or doing good.' Then he looked at some others and said: 'These are doing worse — or are more deficient.' He repeated this phrase until we entered.
