قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا بَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَعْلَى بْنُ عَطَاءٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ وَكِيعَ بْنَ حُدُسٍ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ عَمِّهِ أَبِي رَزِينٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ إِنَّ رُؤْي
َا الْمُسْلِمِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ النُّبُوَّةِ وَهِيَ عَلَى رِجْلِ طَائِرٍ مَا لَمْ يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا فَإِذَا حَدَّثَ بِهَا وَقَعَتْ قَالَ أَظُنُّهُ قَالَ لَا يُحَدِّثُ بِهَا إِلَّا حَبِيبًا أَوْ لَبِيبًا

English Translation
Bahz narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, Yaʿlā ibn ʿAṭāʾ informed me, he said: I heard Wakīʿ ibn Ḥudus narrating from his uncle Abū Razīn: that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: 'The dream of a Muslim is one-fortieth part of prophethood. It hangs on the leg of a bird as long as he does not speak of it. Once he speaks of it, it falls [into reality].' He said: I think he said: 'One should relate it only to a beloved friend or a person of discernment.'
