Hadith #371

English Translation

ʿAbd al-Raḥmān and Bahz narrated to us, they said: Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us, from Yaʿlā ibn ʿAṭāʾ, from Wakīʿ ibn ʿUdus, from his uncle Abū Razīn — Bahz said: al-ʿUqaylī — who said: I said: 'O Messenger of Allāh' — Bahz said: 'Will each of us see his Lord عز وجل?' — ʿAbd al-Raḥmān said: 'How will we see our Lord on the Day of Resurrection? And what is the sign of that in His creation?' He said: 'Does not each of you look at the moon clearly by himself?' I said: 'Indeed.' He said: 'Then He is greater.'
