حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ قَالَ عَنْ يَعْلَى بْنِ عَطَاءٍ عَنْ وَكِيعِ بْنِ حُدُس
ٍ عَنْ أَبِي رَزِينٍ عَمِّهِ أَنَّ نَبِيَّ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ رُؤْيَا الْمُسْلِمِ جُزْءٌ مِنْ أَرْبَعِينَ جُزْءًا مِنْ النُّبُوَّةِ وَهِيَ يَعْنِي عَلَى رِجْلِ طَائِرٍ مَا لَمْ يُحَدِّثْ بِهَا فَإِذَا حَدَّثَ بِهَا وَقَعَتْ

English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Yaʿlā ibn ʿAṭāʾ, from Wakīʿ ibn Ḥudus, from his uncle Abū Razīn: that the Prophet ﷺ of Allāh ﷺ said: 'The dream of a Muslim is one-fortieth part of prophethood. It hangs on the leg of a bird as long as he does not speak of it. Once he speaks of it, it falls [into reality].'
