حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ عَنْ هِشَامٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ عَبْدِ

اللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ وَعَظَهُمْ فِي النِّسَاءِ وَقَالَ عَلَامَ يَضْرِبُ أَحَدُكُمْ امْرَأَتَهُ ضَرْبَ الْعَبْدِ ثُمَّ يُضَاجِعُهَا مِنْ آخِرِ اللَّيْلِ

English Translation
Sufyān ibn ʿUyaynah narrated to us, from Hishām, from his father, from ʿAbdullāh ibn Zamʿah: He [the Prophet ﷺ] admonished them regarding women and said: 'Why does one of you beat his wife as he would beat a slave, then lie with her at the end of the night?'
