حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَ

مْرًا سَمِعَ ابْنَ عُمَرَ قَالَ كُنَّا نُخَابِرُ وَلَا نَرَى بِذَلِكَ بَأْسًا حَتَّى زَعَمَ رَافِعُ بْنُ خَدِيجٍ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ نَهَى عَنْهُ فَتَرَكْنَاهُ

English Translation

Sufyān narrated to us, he said: I heard ʿAmr, who heard Ibn ʿUmar say: We used to practice mukhābarah (sharecropping) and saw no harm in it, until Rāfiʿ ibn Khadīj claimed that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ forbade it, so we abandoned it.
