Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عُثْمَانَ عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ طَل
ْحَةَ عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ قَالَ قَالَ لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَا عُثْمَانُ أُمَّ قَوْمَكَ وَمَنْ أَمَّ الْقَوْمَ فَلْيُخَفِّفْ فَإِنَّ فِيهِمْ الضَّعِيفَ وَالْكَبِيرَ وَذَا الْحَاجَةِ فَإِذَا صَلَّيْتَ لِنَفْسِكَ فَصَلِّ كَيْفَ شِئْتَ

English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, ʿAmr ibn ʿUthmān narrated to us, from Mūsā ibn Ṭalḥah, from ʿUthmān ibn Abī al-ʿĀṣ who said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said to me: "O ʿUthmān, lead your people in prayer. Whoever leads a people, let him keep it light, for among them are the weak, the elderly, and those with needs. And when you pray by yourself, pray as you wish."
