حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى عَنْ شُعْبَةَ وَبَهْزٌ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ عَنْ قَتَادَةَ عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ شُعْبَةُ قَالَ قَتَادَةُ أَخْبَرَنِي قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُط
َرِّفًا عَنْ أَبِيهِ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فِي صَوْمِ الدَّهْرِ قَالَ مَا صَامَ وَمَا أَفْطَرَ أَوْ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ وَقَالَ بَهْزٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ لَا صَامَ وَلَا أَفْطَرَ

English Translation
Yaḥyā narrated to us from Shuʿbah, and Bahz said: Shuʿbah narrated to us, from Qatādah, from Muṭarrif, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ. Shuʿbah said: Qatādah informed me, he said: I heard Muṭarrif, from his father, from the Prophet ﷺ regarding fasting the entire year. He said: "He neither fasted nor broke his fast" — or — "he did not fast and did not break his fast." Bahz said in his narration: "He neither fasted nor broke his fast."
