حَدَّثَنَا بَكْرُ بْنُ عِيسَى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو عَوَانَةَ عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الْأَحْوَلِ عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ النَّهْدِيِّ عَنْ مُجَاشِعِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ انْطَلَقْتُ بِأَخِي مَعْبَدٍ إِلَى رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَ
يْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بَعْدَ الْفَتْحِ فَقُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ بَايِعْهُ عَلَى الْهِجْرَةِ فَقَالَ مَضَتْ الْهِجْرَةُ لِأَهْلِهَا قَالَ فَقُلْتُ فَمَاذَا قَالَ عَلَى الْإِسْلَامِ وَالْجِهَادِ

English Translation
Bakr ibn ʿĪsā narrated to us, he said: Abū ʿAwānah narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal, from Abū ʿUthmān al-Nahdī, from Mujāshiʿ ibn Masʿūd, who said: I took my brother Maʿbad to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ after the conquest (of Makkah) and said: 'O Messenger of Allāh, accept his pledge for hijrah.' He said: 'Hijrah has passed with its people. There is no hijrah after the conquest.' I said: 'Then for what will you accept his pledge?' He said: 'For Islam, faith, and jihād.'
