English Translation

Fayyāḍ ibn Muḥammad al-Raqqī narrated to us, from Jaʿfar ibn Burqān, from Thābit ibn al-Ḥajjāj al-Kilābī, from ʿAbdullāh al-Hamdānī, from al-Walīd ibn ʿUqbah who said: When the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ conquered Makkah, the people of Makkah began bringing their children to him. He would wipe their heads and pray for them. I was brought to him while I was perfumed with khalūq [a yellow-orange perfume], but he did not wipe my head. The only thing that prevented him from doing so was that my mother had perfumed me with khalūq, so he did not touch me because of the khalūq.
