Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا أَيُّوبُ عَنْ حُمَيْدِ بْنِ هِلَالٍ قَالَ قَالَ عُبَادَةُ بْنُ قُرْطٍ إِنَّكُمْ لَتَأْتُونَ أُمُورًا هِيَ أَدَقُّ فِي أَعْيُنِكُمْ مِنْ الشَّعَرِ كُنَّا ن
َعُدُّهَا عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْمُوبِقَاتِ قَالَ فَذُكِرَ ذَلِكَ لِمُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سِيرِينَ فَقَالَ صَدَقَ وَأَرَى جَرَّ الْإِزَارِ مِنْهَا
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Ismāʿīl narrated to us, he said: Ayyūb informed us, from Ḥumayd ibn Hilāl, who said: ʿUbādah ibn Qurṭ said: 'You are committing matters that are finer in your eyes than a hair — we used to count them during the time of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ as destructive sins.'
