English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us, Shuʿbah narrated to us, from ʿĀṣim al-Aḥwal, from al-Shaʿbī, from Muḥammad ibn Ṣafwān, that he caught two rabbits but could not find a blade to slaughter them with, so he slaughtered them with a sharp stone (marwah). He then came to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ, who commanded him to eat them.
