Chain of Narration (Isnad)
حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي خَالِدٍ يَعْنِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ
Body (Matn)
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى رَجُلٍ وَهُوَ يَتَمَجَّعُ لَبَنًا بِتَمْرٍ فَقَالَ ادْنُ فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَمَّاهُمَا الْأَطْيَبَيْنِ
Isnad Chain
English Translation
Wakīʿ narrated to us, Ibn Abī Khālid — meaning Ismāʿīl — narrated to us, from his father, who said: I entered upon a man who was mixing milk with dates. He said: 'Come closer, for the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ called these two the two most wholesome things (al-aṭyabayn).'
