English Translation

Isḥāq ibn ʿĪsā and Yūnus — and this is the ḥadīth of Isḥāq — he said: ʿAṭṭāf ibn Khālid al-Makhzūmī narrated to us, he said: Mūsā ibn Ibrāhīm narrated to me — Yūnus said: Ibn Abī Rabīʿah — he said: I heard Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ — and when he came down [to visit], he would stay at my father's house — he said: I said: O Messenger of Allāh, I am sometimes out hunting with nothing on but a shirt. May I pray in it? He said: "Button it up, even if only with a thorn."
