Hadith #117

قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُونُسُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَطَّافُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ قَالَ أَبِي وَقَالَ غَيْرُ يُونُسَ بْنِ رَزِينٍ أَنَّهُ نَزَلَ الرَّبَذَةَ هُوَ وَأَصْحَابُهُ يُرِيدُونَ الْحَجَّ قِيلَ لَهُمْ هَاهُنَا سَلَمَةُ بْنُ الْأَكْوَعِ صَاحِبُ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صَلَّى الل
َّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَأَتَيْنَاهُ فَسَلَّمْنَا عَلَيْهِ ثُمَّ سَأَلْنَاهُ فَقَالَ بَايَعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ بِيَدِي هَذِهِ وَأَخْرَجَ لَنَا كَفَّهُ كَفًّا ضَخْمَةً قَالَ فَقُمْنَا إِلَيْهِ فَقَبَّلْنَا كَفَّيْهِ جَمِيعًا

English Translation
Yūnus narrated to us, he said: al-ʿAṭṭāf narrated to us, he said: ʿAbd al-Raḥmān narrated to me — my father said: and others besides Yūnus [say] Ibn Razīn — that he stopped at al-Rabadhah, he and his companions intending Ḥajj. It was said to them: Here is Salamah ibn al-Akwaʿ, the companion of the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ. So we went to him and greeted him, then asked him. He said: I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ with this hand of mine — and he showed us his palm, a large palm. We stood up and kissed both his palms.
