قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ عَنْ حَبَّانَ بْنِ وَاسِعٍ عَنْ خَلَّادِ بْنِ السَّائِبِ الْأَنْصَارِيِّ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ إِذَا سَأَلَ جَعَلَ بَاطِنَ كَفَّيْهِ إِلَيْهِ وَإِذَا اسْتَعَاذَ جَعَلَ ظَاهِرَهُمَا إِلَيْهِ
English Translation
Yaḥyā ibn Isḥāq narrated to us, Ibn Lahīʿah narrated to us, from Ḥabbān ibn Wāsiʿ, from Khallād ibn al-Sāʾib al-Anṣārī, that the Prophet ﷺ, when he asked [Allāh for something], would place the insides of his palms toward himself, and when he sought refuge, he would place their backs toward himself.
