Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us, he said: al-Ashjaʿī narrated to us, from Sufyān, from al-Aʿmash, from Hilāl ibn Yisāf, from a man, from the Prophet ﷺ that he said: There will be people who have a covenant of protection. Whoever kills a man among them will not smell the fragrance of Paradise, though its fragrance can be found from a distance of seventy years' travel.
