English Translation
Yūnus narrated to us, he said: Abū ʿAwānah narrated to us, from al-Ashʿath ibn Sulaym, from his father, from a man of Banū Yarbūʿ, he said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ and heard him while he was speaking to the people, saying: The hand of the giver is the upper hand. Give to your mother and your father, and your sister and your brother, then the nearest and the nearest after that. A man said: O Messenger of Allāh, these are Banū Thaʿlabah who did such-and-such (killed so-and-so). The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: No soul bears the burden of another.
