قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو النَّضْرِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْمُبَارَكُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ أَنَّ شَيْخًا مِنْ بَنِي سَلِيطٍ أَخْبَرَهُ قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ أُكَلِّمُهُ فِي سَبْيٍ أُصِ
يبَ لَنَا فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَإِذَا هُوَ قَاعِدٌ وَعَلَيْهِ حَلْقَةٌ قَدْ أَطَافَتْ بِهِ وَهُوَ يُحَدِّثُ الْقَوْمَ عَلَيْهِ إِزَارُ قِطْرٍ لَهُ غَلِيظٌ قَالَ سَمِعْتُهُ يَقُولُ وَهُوَ يُشِيرُ بِإِصْبَعِهِ الْمُسْلِمُ أَخُو الْمُسْلِمِ لَا يَظْلِمُهُ وَلَا يَخْذُلُهُ التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا التَّقْوَى هَاهُنَا يَقُولُ أَيْ فِي الْقَلْبِ

English Translation
Abū al-Naḍr narrated to us, he said: al-Mubārak narrated to us, he said: al-Ḥasan narrated to us that an elder from Banū Salīṭ informed him, he said: I came to the Prophet ﷺ to speak with him about captives taken from us in the Jāhiliyyah. There he was sitting, and around him was a circle of people who had surrounded him, and he was speaking to the people. He was wearing a thick striped lower garment. I heard him saying while pointing with his finger: The Muslim is the brother of the Muslim; he does not wrong him and does not forsake him. Taqwā is here, taqwā is here — meaning in the heart.
