‏ ‏قَالَ ‏ ‏عَبْد اللَّهِ ‏ ‏حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏عُقْبَةُ بْنُ مُكْرَمٍ الْعَمِّيُّ ‏ ‏قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ‏ ‏سَلْمُ بْنُ قُتَيْبَةَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏يُونُسَ بْنِ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ أَوْسَطَ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏خَالِدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ ‏ ‏عَنْ ‏ ‏جَدِّهِ ‏ ‏أَسَدِ بْنِ كُرْزٍ ‏ ‏سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ ‏ ‏صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ ‏ ‏يَقُولُ ‏ ‏الْمَرِيضُ ‏ ‏تَحَاتُّ ‏ ‏خَطَايَاهُ كَمَا ‏ ‏يَتَحَاتُّ ‏ ‏وَرَقُ الشَّجَرِ ‏

English Translation

ʿAbdullāh said: ʿUqbah ibn Mukram al-ʿAmmī narrated to us, he said: Salm ibn Qutaybah narrated to us, from Yūnus ibn Abī Isḥāq, from Ismāʿīl ibn Awsaṭ, from Khālid ibn ʿAbdillāh, from his grandfather Asad ibn Kurz: He heard the Prophet ﷺ say: The sins of the sick person fall away as the leaves of a tree fall away.
