حَدَّثَنَا عَبْد اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يُوسُفُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو جَعْفَرٍ الْخَطْمِيُّ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ الْفَاكِهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ الْفَاكِهِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَ
كَانَتْ لَهُ صُحْبَةٌ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ كَانَ يَغْتَسِلُ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ وَيَوْمَ عَرَفَةَ وَيَوْمَ الْفِطْرِ وَيَوْمَ النَّحْرِ قَالَ وَكَانَ الْفَاكِهُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ يَأْمُرُ أَهْلَهُ بِالْغُسْلِ فِي هَذِهِ الْأَيَّامِ

English Translation
ʿAbdullāh narrated to us, he said: Naṣr ibn ʿAlī narrated to me, he said: Yūsuf ibn Khālid narrated to us, he said: Abū Jaʿfar al-Khaṭmī narrated to us, from ʿAbd al-Raḥmān ibn ʿUqbah ibn al-Fākih, from his grandfather al-Fākih ibn Saʿd — who had companionship (with the Prophet ﷺ) — that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ used to perform ghusl (ritual bathing) on the day of Jumuʿah (Friday), the day of ʿArafah, the day of al-Fiṭr, and the day of al-Naḥr (sacrifice). Al-Fākih ibn Saʿd used to command his family to perform ghusl on these days.
