قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ يَزِيدَ الرَّقَاشِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَعَامَةَ أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ م
ُغَفَّلٍ سَمِعَ ابْنًا لَهُ يَقُولُ اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ الْفِرْدَوْسَ وَكَذَا وَأَسْأَلُكَ كَذَا فَقَالَ أَيْ بُنَيَّ سَلْ اللَّهَ الْجَنَّةَ وَتَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنْ النَّارِ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ يَكُونُ فِي هَذِهِ الْأُمَّةِ قَوْمٌ يَعْتَدُونَ فِي الدُّعَاءِ وَالطَّهُورِ

English Translation
ʿAbdullāh ibn Mughaffal narrated that he heard his son saying: 'O Allāh, I ask You for the white palace on the right side of Paradise when I enter it.' So he said: 'O my son, ask Allāh for Paradise and seek refuge with Him from the Fire, for I heard the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ say: There will be people in this ummah who transgress in purification and supplication.'
