حَدَّثَنَا كَثِيرُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرٌ حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ الْأَصَمِّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنَ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ ذَكَرَ حَدِيثًا رَوَاهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ و
َسَلَّمَ لَمْ أَسْمَعْهُ رَوَى عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ حَدِيثًا غَيْرَهُ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ مَنْ يُرِدْ اللَّهُ بِهِ خَيْرًا يُفَقِّهُّ فِي الدِّينِ وَلَا تَزَالُ عِصَابَةٌ مِنْ الْمُسْلِمِينَ يُقَاتِلُونَ عَلَى الْحَقِّ ظَاهِرِينَ عَلَى مَنْ نَاوَأَهُمْ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ

English Translation
Muʿāwiyah ibn Abī Sufyān narrated — via Yazīd ibn al-Aṣamm — a hadith from the Prophet ﷺ. He said: 'I did not hear him narrate a hadith from the Prophet ﷺ other than this one: the Prophet ﷺ said: Whoever Allāh intends good for, He gives him understanding in the religion. And a group of Muslims will continue fighting upon the truth, prevailing over those who oppose them, until the Day of Resurrection.'
