English Translation
Muʿāwiyah narrated from the Prophet ﷺ: 'When Allāh عز وجل intends good for a servant, He gives him understanding in the religion.' ʿAbdullāh said: I found this text at the end of this hadith in my father's book in his own handwriting, attached to it, with a line drawn through it. I do not know whether he read it to me or not: 'The one who hears and obeys has no argument against him. And the one who hears and disobeys has no argument in his favor.'
