English Translation

Sufyān narrated to us, from al-Zuhrī — and Sufyān was asked from whom — he said: It is Maḥmūd, if Allāh wills — that ʿItbān ibn Mālik was a man with impaired vision, and he mentioned to the Prophet ﷺ about missing the prayer. the Prophet ﷺ asked: 'Do you hear the call (to prayer)?' He said: 'Yes.' So he did not give him a concession.
