حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو الْمُغِيرَةِ حَدَّثَنَا حَرِيزُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ الرَّحَبِيُّ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ عَامِرٍ الْأَلْهَانِيَّ قَالَ دَخَلَ الْمَسْجِدَ حَابِسُ بْنُ سَعْدٍ الطَّائِيُّ مِنْ السَّحَرِ وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَرَأَى ال
نَّاسَ يُصَلُّونَ فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ فَقَالَ مُرَاءُونَ وَرَبِّ الْكَعْبَةِ أَرْعِبُوهُمْ فَمَنْ أَرْعَبَهُمْ فَقَدْ أَطَاعَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ فَأَتَاهُمْ النَّاسُ فَأَخْرَجُوهُمْ قَالَ فَقَالَ إِنَّ الْمَلَائِكَةَ يُصَلُّونَ مِنْ السَّحَرِ فِي مُقَدَّمِ الْمَسْجِدِ

English Translation
Abū al-Mughīrah narrated to us, Ḥarīz ibn ʿUthmān al-Raḥabī narrated to us, he said: I heard ʿAbdullāh ibn ʿĀmir al-Alhānī say: Ḥābis ibn Saʿd al-Ṭāʾī — who had met the Prophet ﷺ — entered the mosque at the time of saḥar (pre-dawn) and saw people praying in the front of the mosque. He said: "Show-offs, by the Lord of the Kaʿbah! Drive them away, for whoever drives them away has obeyed Allāh and His Messenger." So the people came and removed them. He then said: "The angels pray during the pre-dawn hours in the front of the mosque."
