English Translation

Yūnus and ʿAffān narrated to us, they said: Abū ʿAwānah narrated to us, from Dāwūd ibn ʿAbdillāh al-Awdī, from Ḥumayd ibn ʿAbd al-Raḥmān al-Ḥimyarī who said: I met a man who had accompanied the Prophet ﷺ for four years, as Abū Hurayrah had accompanied him for four years. He said: The Messenger of Allāh ﷺ prohibited any of us from combing his hair every day, from urinating in the place where he bathes, from a woman bathing with a man's leftover water, and from a man bathing with a woman's leftover water — rather, they should both scoop together.
