حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ وَزَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ قَالَا حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ صَالِحٍ عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ جَابِرٍ قَالَ زَيْدٌ فِي حَدِيثِهِ حَدَّثَنِي الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَابِرٍ قَالَ سَمِع
ْتُ الْمِقْدَامَ بْنَ مَعْدِي كَرِبَ يَقُولُ حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَوْمَ خَيْبَرَ أَشْيَاءَ ثُمَّ قَالَ يُوشِكُ أَحَدُكُمْ أَنْ يُكَذِّبَنِي وَهُوَ مُتَّكِئٌ عَلَى أَرِيكَتِهِ يُحَدَّثُ بِحَدِيثِي فَيَقُولُ بَيْنَنَا وَبَيْنَكُمْ كِتَابُ اللَّهِ فَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَلَالٍ اسْتَحْلَلْنَاهُ وَمَا وَجَدْنَا فِيهِ مِنْ حَرَامٍ حَرَّمْنَاهُ أَلَا وَإِنَّ مَا حَرَّمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مِثْلُ مَا حَرَّمَ اللَّهُ

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Raḥmān and Zayd ibn Ḥubāb narrated to us, they said: Muʿāwiyah ibn Ṣāliḥ narrated to us, from al-Ḥasan ibn Jābir — Zayd said in his narration: al-Ḥasan ibn Jābir narrated to me — he said: I heard al-Miqdām ibn Maʿdī Karib say: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ prohibited things on the Day of Khaybar, then he said: 'Soon one of you will recline on his couch and when told of a ḥadīth of mine, he will say: Between us and you is the Book of Allah — whatever we find in it as lawful, we will deem lawful, and whatever we find in it as unlawful, we will deem unlawful. Indeed, what the Messenger of Allah ﷺ has prohibited is like what Allah has prohibited.'
