English Translation
Muḥammad ibn Jaʿfar narrated to us: Shuʿbah narrated to us, he said: I heard Manṣūr narrating from al-Shaʿbī, from al-Miqdām Abū Karīmah, that he heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: 'Upon every Muslim, the night of the guest is an obligatory right. If he wakes in his courtyard [unhosted], it is a debt upon him — if he wishes, he may demand it, and if he wishes, he may leave it.'
