حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدَةُ قَالَ حَدَّثَنِي أَبُو الزَّعْرَاءِ عَنْ أَبِي الْأ
َحْوَصِ عَنْ أَبِيهِ مَالِكِ بْنِ نَضْلَةَ قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ الْأَيْدِي ثَلَاثَةٌ فَيَدُ اللَّهِ الْعُلْيَا وَيَدُ الْمُعْطِي الَّتِي تَلِيهَا وَيَدُ السَّائِلِ السُّفْلَى فَأَعْطِيَنَّ الْفَضْلَ وَلَا تَعْجَزْ عَنْ نَفْسِكَ

English Translation
ʿUbaydah narrated to us, he said: Abū al-Zaʿrāʾ narrated to me, from Abū al-Aḥwaṣ, from his father Mālik ibn Naḍlah, he said: the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Hands are of three kinds: the hand of Allah is the uppermost, the hand of the giver is the one next to it, and the hand of the beggar is the lowest. So give the surplus, and do not be helpless regarding yourself.'
