حَدَّثَنَا يَعْقُوبُ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي عَنْ صَالِحٍ قَالَ ابْنُ شِهَابٍ حَدَّثَ

نِي جَعْفَرُ بْنُ عَمْرِو بْنِ أُمَيَّةَ أَنَّ أَبَاهُ قَالَ رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَحْتَزُّ مِنْ كَتِفِ شَاةٍ فَدُعِيَ إِلَى الصَّلَاةِ فَطَرَحَ السِّكِّينَ وَلَمْ يَتَوَضَّأْ

English Translation
Yaʿqūb narrated to us: My father narrated to us, from Ṣāliḥ, [who] said: Ibn Shihāb narrated to me: Jaʿfar ibn ʿAmr ibn Umayyah narrated that his father said: I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ cutting from a sheep's shoulder. He was called to the prayer, so he put down the knife and prayed without performing wuḍūʾ.
