حَدَّثَنَا عَتَّابُ بْنُ زِيَادٍ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ لَهِيعَةَ أَخْبَرَنِي يَزِيدُ بْنُ عَمْرٍو الْمَعَافِرِيُّ عَمَّنْ سَمِعَ عُقْبَةَ بْنَ عَامِرٍ يَقُولُ بَعَثَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ سَاعِيًا فَاسْتَأْذَنْتُهُ أَنْ نَأْكُلَ مِنْ الصَّدَقَةِ فَأَذِنَ لَنَا
English Translation
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "I do not fear that you will associate partners with Allah after me, but I fear that you will compete with one another for the worldly life." And he ﷺ said regarding ṣadaqah: "The one in charge of it who administers it justly is like the warrior in the cause of Allah until he returns to his home." Or he said: "to his house."
