English Translation
ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "Allah admits three people to Paradise by a single arrow: the one who makes it, intending good by its making; the one who shoots it; and the one who hands it to him. So shoot and ride, and that you shoot is more beloved to me than that you ride. Everything with which a man amuses himself is falsehood except his shooting with his bow, his training of his horse, and his playing with his wife, for these are from the truth. And whoever leaves archery after having learned it out of aversion to it, it is a blessing he has abandoned" — or he said: "he has been ungrateful for it."
