عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ شِمَاسَةَ التُّجِيبِيِّ عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يَحِلُّ لِامْرِئٍ مُسْلِمٍ يَخْطُبُ عَلَى خِطْبَةِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ وَلَا يَبِيعُ عَلَى بَيْعِ أَخِيهِ حَتَّى يَتْرُكَ

English Translation

ʿUqbah ibn ʿĀmir narrated: I heard the Messenger of Allah ﷺ say: "It is not lawful for a Muslim man to propose over the proposal of his brother until he leaves it, nor to sell over the sale of his brother until he leaves it."
