Arabic Text
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الصَّمَدِ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادٌ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سَلَمَةَ عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ بْنِ خَالِدٍ عَنْ أَبِيهِ أَ
وْ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ إِذَا كَانَ الطَّاعُونُ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا عَنْهَا وَإِذَا كَانَ بِأَرْضٍ وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْرَبُوهَا

English Translation
ʿAbd al-Ṣamad narrated to us, Ḥammād — meaning Ibn Salamah — narrated to us, from ʿIkrimah ibn Khālid, from his father — or from his uncle — from his grandfather, that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the expedition of Tabūk: "If a plague is in a land and you are in it, do not leave it. And if it is in a land and you are not in it, do not go near it."
