حَدَّثَنَا عَفَّانُ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ سَلَمَةَ قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا عِكْرِمَةُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ عَنْ أَبِ
يهِ أَوْ عَنْ عَمِّهِ عَنْ جَدِّهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ فِي غَزْوَةِ تَبُوكَ إِذَا وَقَعَ الطَّاعُونُ بِأَرْضٍ وَأَنْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَخْرُجُوا مِنْهَا وَإِذَا وَقَعَ بِأَرْضٍ وَلَسْتُمْ بِهَا فَلَا تَقْدَمُوا عَلَيْهِ

English Translation
ʿAffān narrated to us, Ḥammād ibn Salamah narrated to us saying: ʿIkrimah ibn Khālid al-Makhzūmī informed us, from his father — or from his uncle — from his grandfather: that the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the expedition of Tabūk, 'If plague falls upon a land while you are in it, do not leave it. And if it falls upon a land where you are not, do not go to it.'
