English Translation
Hushaym narrated to us, Khālid informed us, from Abū Qilābah, from Abū al-Ashʿath al-Ṣanʿānī, from Shaddād ibn Aws رضي الله عنه, that the Messenger of Allāh ﷺ said: "Indeed, Allāh عز وجل has prescribed excellence (iḥsān) in all things. So when you kill, kill well; and when you slaughter, slaughter well. Let each of you sharpen his blade and give comfort to his animal being slaughtered."
